I've always been jealous of the guys who shred no matter what they're on. I still love bikes and biking, and now own several bikes, including several absolutely awesome carbon bikes. But, you are getting a top shelf bike for sure.
Our review While hard to recommend as a complete package, this Stumpy still rips smoother trails to pieces. Geometry gave an excellent weight balance on steeper and rowdier trails.
But this attention to detail is also reflected in the price. If I was riding crazier stuff, I'm pretty sure I'd want something I little bigger.

We fdameset the new Stumpjumper on the trails in and around the Tweed valley. The seat angle is way steeper than the stock bike and it climbs better because of it. I have been riding this bike in a custom build for about 5 months now. Sometimes the numbers are just numbers. Proving this, the Evo earns a dedicated rear end with more travel and adjustable geometry, while most notably, the Brain is no longer including.

I've the same one in 26", objectively, this is one of the best bike ever, so I can't imagine the efficiency of the 29"! Also,I know this is sort of an odd request but entry-level XC race bikes would be a nice, refreshing article from all the non-xc stuff broadcasted on pinkbike. We would recommend sticking with one of the builds that has a less extreme color.

Actually when I think about it, long bikes are good for average riders. Suspension is as the reviews have billed - supple up top but a really supportive mid and the rear feels deeeep.
That doesn't mean I can't ride my best on a bike with good geometry. Hell, I could build 3 good bikes for 3 different disciplines and have enough money left over to go on a trip to ride them.
On smoother dirt and through berms and rollers on mellow gradients, it was almost impossible for other bikes to keep up with. If a bike is unbalanced, the rider has to work hard to weight the front wprks to generate enough grip.
